Description: Offered in odd years. Advanced study of synthetic and naturally occurring insecticides with emphasis on distribution and elimination, metabolism, mechanism of action, resistance mechanisms, and current advances in new insecticide discovery and new approaches to insect control. The lab focuses on providing hands-on experience with techniques frequently used by toxicologists. Two hours of lecture and one 3-hour lab each week.
