I will be working with stored product insects such as red flour beetles, saw toothed grain beetles, lesser grain borers, weevils, Indian meal moths, etc. on projects relating to managing infestations, behavior, and identification.
I have always been interested in entomology but became more aware of it in high school when I partook in the FFA entomology Career Development Event where I placed in top tier at state. Afterwards I got a minor in undergrad and a masters degree in entomology. I have tried to integrate entomology in many ways, for example in a ceramics course in undergrad I made all of my projects entomology themed such as making a large coil vase with insects all over it, a ceramic beetle, and a ceramic earwig.
My hobbies include watching anime, reading (fantasy and sci-fi primarily), outdoor walks and hiking, insect hunting and photography, art, playing video games, and cuddling my cat. I enjoy spending time outside whenever it is nice out including star gazing at night.
