Research

My research emphasizes arthropod population biology in managed cropping systems, and the ecological interactions that affect the impact of arthropods on crops. My focus has been on two issues. First is the spatial dynamics of population interactions, using an acarine predator-prey system. Second is life history response to multi-trophic interactions, using western flower thrips, tomato spotted wilt and twospotted spider mites on tomato plants.
