The Integrated Molecular Entomology Core (IMEC) laboratory was established to promote the use of molecular and cellular techniques to explore the physiology, biology, toxicology, and behavior of arthropods and promote collaboration among members of the department of Entomology as well as our collaborative partners.

IMEC is a 2,000 square foot facility established in 2022 in partnership with the Foreign Arthropod-Borne Animal Disease Research Unit. Located in a secure section of Waters Annex, IMEC includes office, meeting, and laboratory space to study molecular and cellular aspects of arthropod behavior, physiology, and toxicology.
