Postdoctoral Research Associate - Kansas State University

12-month, full-time (40 hours/week), term, non-tenure track position.

Primary responsibilities include designing experiments, conducting research, and analyzing data with a research emphasis on molecular basis of characterization of G protein-coupled receptor in arthropods. Other responsibilities include preparing progress reports and manuscripts, and maintaining insect colonies and research facilities.

Research Associate - Kansas State University

12-month, full-time (40 hours/week), term, non-tenure track position.

Primary responsibilities include development of image libraries collected from unmanned aerial systems (UAS) using several camera technologies (digital SLR, multispectral, hyperspectral) at plant and sub-plant levels within production wheat fields. The successful candidate will be responsible for experimental design, rearing target pests (e.g., Russian wheat aphid), and statistical analysis to support research comparing current and commonly deployed sampling methodologies for common wheat pests. The overall project focuses on the use of UAS data to identify infested areas and inform surveillance decisions made by biosecurity personnel and pest managers.
